Stay invisible. Keep people out. Avoid the pain.

That's how Eve decided to live after her family was murdered in front of her.
A year later, her love of photography was the only thing that brought her happiness.

It was going to be impossible to stay invisible when Kit, a cocky Australian classmate in her photography class, decided that his new favourite hobby wasn’t boxing, it was trying to get under her skin.

Kit might have been everything she was trying to avoid, but the more he hung around her, the more he edged past her well-built defences to the one spot she couldn’t afford to let him in: her heart.

No matter how much she tried to protect herself, Kit was hiding secrets of his own, and they had the ability to change Eve’s life drastically.

If there was a thin line between love and hate, what happens when that love is betrayed?

"The closeness of his touch destroyed me."

Kit is the first book in the Carson Brothers Series and a debut novel for this author. Eve is a young adult who has been through hell and is doing everything she can to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. When she meets Kit, an alpha male who is automatically drawn to her, she is completely taken by him! As the horrors of Eve's past are revealed, Kit will have the fight of his life to keep Eve by his side.

"I'm not sharing you."
Kit is a passionate romance that will appeal to New Adult Romance fans. Both main characters have strong (dare I say stubborn) demeanors, so readers will need to be very patient as these two navigate the many trials they have to face.
"Stay calm."
Overall, S R Dyble delivers an action packed romance with plenty of drama. For a debut novel, I'd say she is certainly someone to keep your eyes on as her future is bright!

Immature hero, virgin heroine, he sleeps with her friend and the rest of the women in her class all in front of her....but she is special 🙄 slut shaming, misogynistic stereotypes etc etc this is a bad one

He also runs up to see a naked girl....just because I guess

Kit had gone upstairs with his brother to see a naked girl in his brother’s bed. Like I wasn’t even here. He didn’t care. “No fucking way!” I heard Kit shouting from upstairs and if I wasn’t already disgusted at the thought of him ogling a naked girl, the realisation of it hurt and I quickly gathered myself. “You’re not going, are you?” Nick said after me. “I really need to be somewhere,” I lied. “Don’t let that bother you, sweetheart, it’s just a guy thing."

I was lucky enough to read an early copy of this book.
First of all I absolutely love finding new authors! S R Dyble has written a brilliant fast paced, exciting, sweet and sexy romance. It flows well and is easy to read, with some heart in your mouth moments.
Now if that doesn't make you want to read it then may super hot Australian men will! Lol
This does end on a cliffhanger but it is done really well and there will be more.

Do yourself a favour and get on board with S R Dyble and what she is bringing to the romance world.

This story begins with a prologue about Eve’s past. She goes through something unimaginably horrific at a young age that leaves her with terrifying nightmares and a huge piece of her identity lost. In the here and now she is attending college, living with her grandparents and has not much of a social life. She prefers to keep to herself mostly but she does have a bestie to have fun with.

When Kit walks into her photography class, he initially pays her little attention but he is a flirt by nature and it doesn’t take long for him to begin working his charm on Eve. Over the next few weeks they seem to cross paths several times and a couple of those he is an unlikely hero for her.

There is a definitely a building attraction there but Eve has huge self esteem issues, she finds it very hard to believe that Kit’s interest in her is genuine. She doesn’t think she is all that attractive and he is way out of her league. It does take some convincing but eventually she agrees to spend time with Kit.

This is all new for Kit too, not being with a girl, but having a girlfriend. He is more interested in a quick, enjoyable one night stand and has steered clear of commitment. Eve is so different to anyone he has met before and he finds himself wanting to only be with her. He has claimed her now, she is his.

Also weaved into this story is an element of fear, there is a bit of a thriller playing out in the background that is alluded to but doesn’t really come to full fruition until much later in the story. When this happens a whole lot of drama also comes along for the ride and things get a bit crazy.

The ending left this story still open, I would have preferred to have things brought to a conclusion but the author will releasing a novella to hopefully conclude Kit & Eve’s story before the release of the second book in this series.

This ia a debut novel from this new author and I thought she did a good job with this first book in the series. There is definitely room for growth but I’m sure that will come with time and experience.

Let's start off by saying that this is a brand new author for us and we really enjoyed our first story by them. This story was filled with characters that drew you right in like those cocky playboys with those sexy Australian accents, hot men who were a bunch of playboys but, also kind and playful who loved to tease but, underneath it all their protective and deadly as sin.

I will say that at the beginning of the story Kit's cockiness was a bit much to take but, it was his way of getting the girl.Eve and Kit played the cat and mouse game before Kit decided it was enough and he was making her his! One thing we loved about Kit is he was definitely a playboy with a revolving door of women but, every step he took with Eve was a first for him as he was doing everything out of the ordinary knowing from the onset she was special and someone to cherish.

We found Kit to be way to cocky and full of himself for sure but, also protective, possessive, loving, sexual, playful and if you could get past the cocky attitude he had this larger then life personality that he just enjoyed life to the fullest.

We found Eve to be shy and a bit of a introvert, broken, sad but, once she started blossoming and changing she was feisty and playful and could tease with the best of them.I loved that she was shy about receiving compliments and never really realized how beautiful she was inside and out.

For me I really enjoyed the story as it was filled angst and suspense, super hot sex and characters that had tons of chemistry between them and a intense relationship with a guy some would call a a-hole but, you could not help but love and then you have the feisty and fiery Eve who has risen above risen from the ashes of her tragic past and blossomed right before your eyes.

I have to say that we laughed on and off throughout the entire story but, we also felt the pain these two characters experienced with reliving their painful pasts it was heart wrenching and your heart broke for all they had to endure to get to this point but, they we both given the chance to heal and find that everlasting love happiness they both deserved.

Warning- This book ends on a cliffhanger and the story is continuing and Eve and Kit's story is not over but, we are hoping that the next entails one of those sexy Carson Brothers because they we so much fun in this tale we can wait to hear their stories next.

Overall I loved the story from beginning to end and I had a smile on my face most of the time because that cocky bastard Kit put it there.

Grins !

Well done and a recommended read from us !

I only really hope that this author does not make the mistake of following the trend of cheating men! It would start a career with the "left foot". The male character was already quite disgusted in his actions in the first book and prolonging that would be just disheartening. I'm hoping that there is no really cheating since my list of authors that I do not even get close to is already big enough!

I love when i read a "New Author", I love it even more when i read a book that totally surprises and captures me so intensely that i can't set it down.
This book does end with a cliff hanger, but it's nicely done!!
Eve has dealt with a horrendous past and is now trying to find a balance in her life. A life she has promised to keep free of complications of attachments to other people. Until 3 obnoxious brothers enter her school. They might be hot and god's gift to women, but the fact that one of them, namely Kit seems determined to give her a hard time, has you wondering right from the word go, what their game is, all is revealed!!!

Have to admit, at first i literally wanted to slap Kit silly! He really wasn't overly likeable, his attitude to Eve made me want to punch him, yet at the same time he really intrigued me. this book has angst and drama, mixed with keeping you puzzled bout these brothers. Not all is as it seems, and the more i got into this story the more i wanted to know. I loved the angst between Kit and Eve, and even though at times he seemed to be cruel, i could definitely get why she would fall for him. Their romance is one that will have you hooked and invested into, until Secrets, and lies bring issues of trust to the forefront. What i can say is, I loved it!! As you get to know these characters and their reasons you will just fall all the more !! I did mention it ending in a cliff hanger, and i can honestly say i cannot wait to dive into more !!!!

Highly recommend checking it out !!!!

I love the suspense and secrets revealed in Eve and Kit's story. Lots of learning about themselves and maturing along the way. Eve's fiery temper certainly keeps Kit on his toes! Looking forward to the next book.

This is the first book in the Carter Brothers series where we get the story about Kit (one of the brothers) and Eve.

Kit and his brother Nick were the newly enrolled guys in Eve's photography class and their first meeting was sour, making Eve hate him instantly. He was cocky and he loves teasing Eve.

Eventually, they finally got together but Eve has a past she's trying to move past to and Kit has a secret his keeping close to himself.

Initially, the characters reminds me of the Slater brothers. All hot, living together, and with secrets from their past.

I think the story pacing was well balanced. It wasn't fast paced nor did the story dragged too much as this is the first book and an introduction to the series so it's important for the author to highlight some characters' backgrounds. Although, this book ended in a cliffhanger, which made sense because there were some things that was left hanging.

I believe this series can flourish more, depending on how the author will make her next installment for this. Such theme as this is is widely popular nowadays, that this book, with the right promotions and readers' word of praise, can be a new must-read series especially that this book is about brothers with different back stories that calls out to a set of readers with a huge group following stories like this one. There's a good plot going on with this book that I'll be sure to wait for the next book to come.

P.S. It would also be great if Eve's pessimistic attitude will tone down in the next book. It could get frustrating at times but otherwise, she's fine.

This started off pretty crazy, Eve was forced to watch her family be murdered and somehow escaped the killers. I liked that idea and was interested to see if the killers would be back to finish the job and why her family was killed in the first place. The story ended up being a lot slower than I hoped and it took a long time to get to the point of the plot. I think a chunk of the middle could have been cut out and the pacing would be better. Kit was a dick for the first part and I was with Eve in not liking him. Thankfully he got better when he realized how to talk to her and show her he loved her.
Okay read overall, just too slow for me and unnecessary pieces.

I hate saying this but Kit can kiss my ass. 😒 I thought he was a jackass the entire book. Even when he was trying not to be. I couldn't get over him. I understand and suspected some of the plot twist. I totally get where the author was coming from but as a character he always seemed sleazy and unrepentant. I just couldn't immerse myself in their relationship. So the cliffhanger feels like a noose around my already frazzled neck...

I want happy. I want reformed bad boy. I'm a sucker for this kind of a story. I love reformed @ssholes but I don't get the reformed vibe from him. I like that Kit is definitely more realistic. He is constantly screwing up and not thinking about anything but himself. I definitely feel it's more real but at the same time my heart can't take this kind of douche!

As frustrated and confused as I am, I need book two. I need answers and hopefully a happy...Hopefully!

Kit (Carson Brothers #1) is a debut book and Series for SR Dyble. Although I’m sure a lot of people like the Jerk Hero - the execution of the book just fell a little flat for me.

The beginning of the book, for a debut, just didn’t have enough story building for me. It just kinda jumped right into a strange start and I just didn’t get hooked by the characters right away, being more confused than intrigued. So from that stand point, it was hard for me to get into the book and storyline.

As the book progresses the writing does start to expand and the story smooths out where it’s not as choppy as the beginning, which I come to expect with a debut novel.

Be aware that the book does end in a cliffhanger, which I don’t mind but it annoyed me more on where it left off more than anything else.

I see potential in SR Dyble but I found more fault than favor with the storyline and characters that I’ll probably pass of book 2.

This is the first in a new series by a debut author. I love finding new authors and this is one I will follow with interest.

Overall I enjoyed this story, what can I say I love a bad boy. At times the flow of the book was slightly stilted and then it would pick up again. I'm sure with every new book the author releases that's something that will change with experience. I liked the character of Eve but Kit just annoyed the heck out of me. As I've said I love a bad boy but they must have something else about them for me to fall for them. Kit at times came across very dismissive of Eve's feelings and acted like he didn't care.

I'm hopeful that in book two he redeems himself but I'm routing for Eve regardless.

Kit is a well written debut novel that I really enjoyed.

Eve is struggling to get through each day, to live her life after her family was murdered. She vowed to never let anyone close. However she didn’t bargain on meeting Kit.

At first I didn’t like Kit but he certainly grew on me.

The chemistry between these two is hot and I loved the chat between them.

I’m looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Well holy shit....
I am hooked....
I couldn’t get enough of Kit....
The asshole you can’t help but love....

This is my first book by S R Dyble and will definitely not be my last. The characters each and everyone of them are so relatable and real and I fell in love with them all.

Reading Kit had me all up in tangles throughout. The book was full of so much angst that I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to survive. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop throughout reading and hot damn if I wasn’t shocked as all get up.

Eve had the unimaginable happen to her and her family. She is just trying to survive day to day when Kit walks with not her life. He practically turns her world upside down and slowly breaks down the walls that she had put up. My heart ached. My heart swooned. My heart cheered. I could not get enough of Kit, Eve and all of Kit’s brothers.

S R Dyble, you broke me at the end. I need the next book like NOW!!!!! 5+ Stars!!! I highly recommend this book!!!!!!

This is such an amazing story. I absolutely loved the characters. I did feel like there were a few parts of the story I was able to predict, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment. It also felt a little slow paced for the firs half of the book or so, but then about 70% through BAM! Wow did it pick up. Can't wait to read the next book.

This has been quite a roller-coaster ride. I thought this was just going to be a smitten woman’s story struggling to control her feelings for a man who was initially so infuriating and commanding. Eve didn’t want to complicate her life after her parents’ murder which she witnessed about a year ago. Meeting Kit and his brother Nick sent her questioning about the status of her heart and how they, (mostly Kit) had turned her world upside down.

Kit, along with his brothers, live together and share a special bond that sometimes called for mysterious situations. Initially interested in passing their photography subject, Kit and Nick easily became attached to Eve, a woman who wasn’t aware of her own beauty. Falling for Kit was easy, trusting him with her life was another story, but knowing about his true identity led her to question about herself and her family’s murder.

Like I’ve said, this had been a wild ride that got me on the edge of my seat. I love how the story flowed from non-condescending to full-blown suspense to a cliffhanging mystery. S R Dyble’s first novel is a well-written, full-on Alpha story that makes you want to strangle the male heroine, at the same time, love him till the end. The Carson brothers are up to no good, that I can be sure of, but they have the hots to keep me coming back for more.

Arrrrrgh! I hate waiting for the next book when it comes to cliffhangers. Luckily, I have Eves ready to go.
I had just grown to like Kit as I approached the end of the book - and despite his cocky and arrogant facade at the beginning, was really hoping he would be the good guy. Now, I'll have to read on to find out whether or not this is actually the case.
This book was fast paced, full of drama, easy to read with a healthy dose of steam.

Lies and betrayals abound in this suspenseful read. As the story progresses so too does the pace and the anticipation built as I read.
While I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and this new-to-me author, fair warning - the end, really isn't "the end" .. #cliffhanger
and I can't wait to see where the story, characters and author will take me!

A fantastic debut book!! I can’t wait to see how this series progresses! Eve has had a tragic past and just wants to overcome her past and move on. Kit is a cocky but strong guy that always seemed to be irritating Eve. This book has drama, angst, suspense and laugh out loud moments and also ends in a cliffhanger. Which left more questions unanswered. I will definitely be reading the next book to get answers. I highly recommend this book!

This book was slow for me to get into but once I was past the first couple of chapters I was hooked. The characters are likeable and I kept thinking how I want to know the rest of Kits brother's stories. What I thought was gonna happen was wrong and was very glad for the twist. I definitely am looking forward to the next book.

KIT ... wonderful debut novel

Now that is what I call a debut novel!!!!

SR Dyble didn't rush her story, instead she presented a well thought out and meticulously planned story that drew me in instantly. The beginning was set at a fairly slow pace, however this was really invaluable as the pace of the story began to increase. KIT is the first book in the Carson Brothers series, and I can't wait to read the rest of them.

Eve has suffered a tragedy like no other and has vowed to lead a simple life with no complications, no relationships and definitely no love. With her self esteem lacking, Eve is unable to see herself as other do. Undertaking a photography course, to give her life some direction, Eve meets Kit Carson. He's a cocky, smooth, rude bad boy who Eve just can't seem to resist.

Kit turns Eve's world upside down. Bit by bit he breaks down her barriers. Eve's story is heart breaking, it's emotional, but it's also one with hope. Even though Kit could be an absolute douche at times, he was genuine in his feelings for her. Eve was as good for him as he was for her though, allowing him to see the world through different eyes. Slowly she began to gather her strength and emerge from her tightly woven cocoon.

A truly wonderful debut novel, I can't wait to read more of Eve and Kit's story. This one does end on a cliffhanger, however it is one that really makes you want to continue their story. I'll also enjoy seeing what the author has in store for Kit's brothers when they get their own stories.

4.5 can’t get enough stars!!

This is the first book in the “Carson Brothers” series. And it leaves off in a slight cliffy. But trust and believe I am coming back for more. I love Kit but I am super excited to meet ALL the Carson brothers!!

Eve has witnessed the most horrific thing, her family being brutally murdered, she is just trying to get by in life now. No waves, no drama and definitely no love. That is until some cocky as shit Australian hottie decides to inject himself into her life....

Ok I was hooked from the very beginning of this book. These two have insane chemistry. And there were so many laugh out loud moments. Her grandparents?!! Love them!!

Kit makes me want to smack the ever loving shit out of him and so does Eve, to be honest. These two are a match made in heaven. They got on my nerves at one point but then switched it up. I want to say they matured together. Kit is like super hot but come on with the flirting. And checking out a naked chick while she was standing there. Sorry but you ain’t getting out of that one without a black eye. Now these brothers of his.... I can not wait to see who tames these beasts!!

This book was written quite well for it being the authors debut book. I’m excited to see what else she has in store for us AND this series. She created some phenomenal characters I can’t wait to read more.

OMG where do I start with this review...... I effing LOVED this book it is amazing and I couldn't get enough of it. Kit and Eve are amazing together and the Carson Brothers are a riot. They had me cracking up with the banter between the brothers.

Kit is every womens dream come true and he knows it. He is sort of a man whore but when he meets Eve everything changes for him. They go to the same college and share a photography class together and the more time Kit spends with Eve the more he falls for her. But their relationship is so funny because they become friends but they banter back and forth with each other and Eve does not trust him because she knows he a ladies man. But as time goes by she learns to trust him.

Eve is a strong woman because she has lost her family and she is being raised by her grandparents. She is quiet and keeps to herself because of the loss of her family. She has a best friend that she spends time with. But when she meets Kit he changes her life and turns it upside down because she never thought she would ever have feelings for a guy the way she does for Kit even though he annoys her and gets on her nerves.

This is an amazing story that will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen between Kit and Eve and there is also some suspense in the book that will have you guessing what is going on. So go on and one click this bad boy and enjoy the ride!
