In this webinar, the author of the book, professor Olivier Costa, will talk about the European Union and its way of working with a focus on the EU Foreign Policy. The event will be opened by H.E. Ignacio Ybáñez, Ambassador of the European Union to Brazil who will provide a view on EU Brazil relations.

Biographies:

Olivier Costa
Olivier Costa is Research Professor at the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique), Sciences Po Bordeaux. He is also Director of Studies at the European Political and Governance Studies Department of the College of Europe (Bruges). He is executive editor of the Journal of European Integration, and member of the editorial board the Journal of Legislative Studies and the Italian Political Science Review. His priorities in research include EU institutions and policies, European Parliament, French Parliament, comparative legislative politics and compared regionalism.

H.E Ignacio Ybáñez
Ambassador Ignacio Ybáñez is Head of the European Union Delegation to Brazil. He is a Spanish diplomat and was Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of his country, where he also held the post of Director General for Foreign Policy and Global Multilateral Affairs and that of Director General for Africa, Mediterranean and Middle East. In addition, he was Spain's Ambassador to Russia.
